This is either due to being from an uncompetitive club, with no support, or due to it just being too far for others to come. I've had exceptions to this though. I had a good team in March For the Abu-Dhabi Qualifiers, and I was fortunate to have a friend coach me this weekend. A good team experience is always great.
It's also not bad because Ashley has been tremendously supportive of all my BJJ endeavors. Cheering from the sidelines, telling me to chill out when I have a particularly bad performance, and sitting around for hours waiting for the show to begin. She's awesome, infact.

One of the main reasons I keep competing is because of the way that it challenges me. I'm bad at it, but it offers me room for improvement, goals, and food for thought.CalfOfWarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10317689103262988589noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7977156088727204121.post-86733373504894598352010-12-07T16:29:11.034-08:002010-12-07T16:29:11.034-08:00I've competed a whole once. The actual fighting part wasn't enjoyable at all, but the cheering on team mates was pretty cool. So, I plan to give it another go in the not too distant future, but I'm not looking forward to it.

So, always interesting to hear why people like competing, as it isn't something that appeals to me. Still, I do think it's important, hence why I wrote this.slideyfoothttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05374174757753962274noreply@blogger.com
